Festival of the Sea — Saturday in Trinidad

Part of the first Humboldt Festival of the Sea, presented by the Trinidad Coastal Land Trust. FREE: adaptive sea kayaking 8 AM–noon (limited to 10–12 people — call ahead to reserve); two free guided tours noon–3 PM (California Coastal National Monument history, and Seabirds and Marine Life From Shore); vendors, artists and information tables at Trinidad Town Hall noon–6 PM. Also offered Saturday (paid, $25 adults / $12 children): tidepooling 3–5:30 PM, a Kelp and Seaweed walk 1–4 PM, and a Creatures of the Night walk. Tours are limited to 15–18 people.
